Haida Gwaii is one the most important seabird nesting areas in North America. In Fall 2017 Bird Studies Canada and Co+Host organized meetings of stakeholders to talk about birds, and biosecurity in Laskeek Bay and Langara Island and a public Bird Day at the Haida Heritage Centre. I illustrated various birds for a Haida Gwaii bird poster, created a map of the Important Bird Areas and protected areas of Hadia Gwaii, created a visual agenda, took sketchnotes during a bird-related tour of the Haida Gwaii Museum, and graphically recorded the presentations and panels.
