Parks Canada – Yukon Colouring Book

The Yukon Field Unit of Parks Canada wanted to put together a colouring book of all the national parks and historic sites in the Yukon to share with park visitors.

Parks Canada was familiar with my work from when I was the Chilkoot Trail Artist in Residence. In 2013 I was invited to spend two weeks on the Chilkoot Trail hiking and drawing, and doing workshops with hikers, residents, and visitors. I heard many stories, created some comics and an online collaborative comic.

For the colouring book, I worked with Parks Canada staff to create fourteen black and white line drawings that represented various aspects of the parks and historical sites. I then designed the sixteen page book with covers.
